Dermatology is a branch of medicine which examines the structure and function of the skin, diagnoses the diseases associated with it and, where necessary, prescribes treatment or recommendations for prevention.

The causes of skin diseases vary — the influence of the environment, infections, viruses and bacteria, autoimmune diseases.
